KnowFirst was built to answer a simple question: who is out there, and what are they doing?
Finding that answer used to mean jumping between business registers, websites, LinkedIn profiles and spreadsheets, only to end up with information that was incomplete or already out of date.
We thought there should be a better way.
From a passion project to one of Australia's largest business intelligence platforms
KnowFirst began with founder Ben Bradshaw's goal of bringing publicly available information about Australian and New Zealand businesses together in one place, organised, searchable and continuously updated.
What started as a passion project has grown into a platform containing millions of business and people profiles, used by sales, marketing, recruitment and research teams to understand markets, discover opportunities and find the right people.
As KnowFirst has grown, the philosophy behind it has stayed simple: searching should be free, you should only pay when you access information that provides value, and every record should give you enough information to actually do something with it.
